Overview

Nasi Kandar Saddam, located at 1, Jalan SIP 1 in Suria Industrial Park, Sepang, offers a slice of authentic Indian Muslim cuisine that resonates well with locals and travelers alike. Known primarily for its signature nasi kandar dishes, the restaurant caters to those seeking hearty, flavorful meals amidst a casual and welcoming environment. Its proximity to KLIA and the presence of ample parking and prayer facilities make it a convenient stop, especially for long-haul travelers looking to enjoy a satisfying meal before or after flights.

The menu revolves around traditional Indian Muslim staples, with highlights like ayam goreng that’s praised for its crisp exterior and juicy interior, and the distinctly rich ayam bawang that many patrons describe as a must-try. Nasi kandar here is accompanied by a generous selection of sides such as tender beef renditions, fresh seafood options, and familiar fried noodles packed with spices and textures. The kuah (gravy) is thick and flavorful for the most part, though some diners have noted variations in its intensity and spice balance between branches.

Ambience-wise, the space feels fresh and clean, reflecting the restaurant’s relatively recent opening. It draws a steady crowd, which speaks to its growing reputation in the bustling Sepang area. While some reviews praise the lively atmosphere and ease of access, a few have highlighted areas for improvement, such as drink preparation and the occasional inconsistency in meal presentation—most notably, rice texture and the depth of flavor in the gravy.

Service is efficient, even with high footfall, with a straightforward payment system that requires settling the bill upfront. The restaurant positions itself as an accessible hangout for families, airport staff, travelers, and nasi kandar enthusiasts craving a fast, flavorful experience without pretense. Drinks complement the meals with choices ranging from traditional rose syrup to coffee mixes, though some drink orders have met with mixed reactions regarding taste fidelity.

In summary, Nasi Kandar Saddam stands as a noteworthy contender in Sepang’s Indian Muslim dining scene. Its strengths lie in authentic dishes, strategic location, and thoughtful amenities, while continued refinement in consistency and drink offerings could elevate the overall experience. For those familiar with nasi kandar or newcomers eager to explore, it’s worth a visit to sample one of Malaysia’s beloved culinary traditions near KLIA.

Good place to hang, easy access and nice environment only for the lime drink I ordered that's just unsuitable as it should be calamansi rather than lime as the taste is quite bitter than sour... The drinks ordered were supposed to be known by the bartender as we ordered it when we made the payment but we have to repeat it at the table as we sat... Other than that is likeable

The premise was still clean as newly opened. Always pack with customers as nearby KLIA Nasi kandar is as usual delicious, especially ayam goreng crispy on the outside juicy in the inside. Rojak also nice with sipcy thick kuah. Iced drinks, the ice was crushed

I went to the newly opened Nasi Kandar Saddam branch in Sepang. As a frequent nasi kandar eater, this place is out of their league. The food was a bit disappointing. It’s not on the same level as their Segambut branch. I ordered rice with fried chicken, salted egg, and bean sprouts, of course with kuah banjir. The gravy was thick, but somehow tasteless. You don’t get that spicy kick at the back of your throat like you’re supposed to. What disappointed me the most was the rice, it was mushy, like rice porridge. The price is average, around RM10+ per plate. On the bright side, the service was pretty fast despite the long queue. You’ll need to pay for your meal at the counter before you eat. Overall, there are many better nasi kandar spots in Sepang. Maybe the name has hype, but the taste definitely doesn’t live up to it. Tiga SURR only! ⭐⭐⭐

It was my first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the nasi kandar was. Although the ayam tandoori was a bit small, it was quite tasty. The roti naan was fairly thick and presented nicely, but I found the condiments to be much better than the roti naan itself. Overall, the prices were reasonable. Sorry, I don't have a picture of the food; I totally forgot to take one before I started eating! Hahaha.
